“Byrd is out of
Altamont and on to Madera”
Dave Byrd and
the Bob Strandwold Racing Team qualified 6th fast, and
ran as high as 4th, in the Memorial Day/Military
Appreciation Night race last Saturday at Altamont Motorsports park,
but a broken heim joint in the throttle linkage ended the night
early and relegated them to a 16th place finish.
Dave will be
back in action this Saturday evening, May 31st, driving a
Kenny Whelan owned Late Model at Madera Speedway in the “NASCAR
Whelen All American Racing Series” featuring twin 75 lap mains.
